Life Insurance and Financial Planning Committee

3:30 to 4:00 p.m. (formerly from 2:00 to 3:15 p.m.)

Special Meeting on Life Settlements

4:00 to 5:30 p.m. (New Meeting)

After receiving input from interested parties on two conference calls, the NCOIL Subcommittee on Life Settlements determined to elicit amendment proposals to update NCOIL’s Life Settlements Model Act, originally adopted in 2000 and amended in 2004 to address life settlements.  At the Life Insurance and Financial Planning Committee’s Special Meeting on Life Settlements, legislators will discuss the model and query interested parties on mark-ups submitted prior to the Spring Meeting.
